Frequently asked questions

The questions shippers ask us most often, answered directly. If yours is not here, call our team and ask.

Questions

Answers, without the runaround

What temperature ranges can you maintain?
Our refrigerated trailers handle frozen, chilled and controlled-ambient freight. Every load runs against a set point agreed before dispatch, and the trailer is pre-cooled and pre-tripped before pickup. TODO: state the client’s exact temperature range.
Can you provide temperature records for a delivered load?
Yes. Refrigerated loads are monitored continuously for the full length of the trip, and the temperature record is available on request after delivery. Shippers who need it as a standing requirement can have it supplied with every proof of delivery.
Are you a bonded carrier, and do you have a CBSA carrier code?
Yes. We operate as a bonded carrier with our own CBSA carrier code, which we use on all ACI eManifest filings and PARS barcode documentation. TODO: publish the actual four-character carrier code here.
How do you coordinate customs clearance?
We file the ACI eManifest and work directly with your customs broker to have PARS or PAPS release information on file with CBSA or CBP ahead of arrival. Both the eManifest and the broker entry must match and be filed at least one hour before the truck reaches the border.
Does CARM change anything for me as an importer?
It does. Under the CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management system, importers must be registered in the CARM Client Portal with their own business number and financial security posted, and as of January 1, 2026 a customs broker’s business number can no longer be used to release commercial goods on an importer’s behalf. We will move your freight either way, but shipments will be held at the border if the importer of record is not set up in CARM.
What is your safety rating?
TODO: state the client’s National Safety Code / CVOR safety rating explicitly, for example “Satisfactory” or “Excellent”. Canadian shippers check this during carrier qualification, so naming it directly saves a round of questions.
What are your cargo insurance limits?
TODO: state actual cargo liability and general liability limits in dollars. A certificate of insurance is available on request for carrier qualification packages.
What regions do you serve?
We operate across Canada and into the United States, with cross-border capacity through the Ontario, Manitoba and British Columbia crossings. See our coverage page for provinces, states and primary lanes.
How do I get a rate?
Call our office and ask for sales, or send an email with your origin, destination, equipment type, commodity and ready date. A representative will come back to you with a rate on the lane.
Do you offer expedited or team service?
Yes. Team drivers run continuously without the rest break a single driver requires, which makes expedited transit times achievable on long lanes. Expedited service is available on both refrigerated and dry van equipment.
