Our story
Built for freight that cannot warm up
Nortfrost Express was founded to do one thing properly: move temperature-sensitive freight between Canada and the United States without breaking the cold chain. Placeholder copy — the client’s founding story, growth and milestones go here.
We run our own tractors and trailers with our own drivers. That decision costs more than brokering freight out, and it is the reason we can commit to a transit time and stand behind a temperature record rather than passing the question along to somebody else.
Today we serve food and beverage, fresh produce, grocery distribution and manufacturing shippers across Canada and into the United States, with bonded cross-border capability and expedited team service when a delivery window leaves no room for a rest break.

How we operate
Four things we will not compromise on
- We own the equipment
- We are an asset-based carrier, not a broker. The trailer under your freight is ours and the driver is on our payroll, which means one company is accountable when something goes wrong.
- We document the cold chain
- A temperature record is not a favour we do on request. It is part of what you are buying, and it is available on every refrigerated load we move.
- We answer the phone
- Dispatch is staffed around the clock, because freight does not only have problems during office hours. You get a person who can act, not a ticket number.
- We say no when we should
- If we cannot cover a lane at the service level you need, we will tell you rather than take the load and hope. A carrier that overcommits costs you more than one that declines.
